The Digital Innovation Hub of Western Macedonia

The Digital Innovation Hub of Western Macedonia SYNERGiNN EDIH, as a member of the EDIH Network, helps SMEs and Public Organizations to upgrade their digital maturity.

With areas of expertise in Energy and Environment, and utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber Security (CS) and Big Data (BD), we leverage the knowledge and experience of our partners in design and implementation of solutions that can meet the needs and improve the operation of every Organization and business.

After capturing the level of digital maturity, as well as the needs and problems in the daily working life of each organization, a personalized proposal is formulated with the aim of modernizing and simplifying processes, upgrading digital skills, facilitating employees and management, leading to better customer service.

The European Digital Innovation Hubs Network works to achieve the EU goals for the Digital Decade 2030. More specifically, the goals set at the European level concern:

• Promoting digital transformation across the EU by introducing cutting-edge technologies to 75% of European companies

• The achievement of a basic level of digital know-how for 90% of European companies

• The creation of new value chains in Europe

The Digital Innovation Hub of Western Macedonia – SYNERGiNN EDIH, based in the energy center of the country, can offer its services to the entire territory with an emphasis on the energy and environmental sector.

Target groups

Small and medium enterprises with a low or medium level of digital maturity: SYNERGiNN aims to help these businesses integrate new technologies in order to strengthen their market position. SYNERGiNN focuses on providing assistance to businesses specializing in the Energy and Environment sectors. However, it also supports businesses operating in other sectors to move forward with their digital transformation. The Hub involves the development of local and regional know-how, bridging the gap between entrepreneurship and local research and education activities.
Public organizations with a low or medium level of digital maturity: SYNERGiNN aims to help public organizations in their digital transformation, turning them into smart cities that will improve the daily life of citizens, enhancing participation in decision-making on issues that concern them, reducing energy consumption and enhancing environmental protection. SYNERGiNN serves local and regional public administrations and other public sector organizations that aspire to use the Transformation Platform Ecosystem to comply with the Principles of the Tallinn Declaration on e-Government.
The region of Western Macedonia is an important gateway between the European Union and the Western Balkans, as it borders Albania and the Republic of North Macedonia.
