Description
Through the calculation of the SRI and the installation of smart technologies, engineers, property owners, and facility managers are empowered to control the energy consumption of buildings and create a comfortable indoor environment tailored to the needs of both users and the energy grid.
The Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) has been introduced as a European regulation, with its calculation methodology already being tested by several EU Member States, including Greece. The SRI assessment examines key functiοnalities related to the building’s energy performance and operation, its energy flexibility and its adaptability to user needs by utilizing advanced technologies such as smart meters, sensors, energy management systems and IoT devices. Its goal is to determine how smart ready a building is and to identify the strengths and weaknesses of its technical systems. Buildings are assessed in terms of key technical domains, such as heating, cooling, monitoring and control, dynamic building envelope and lighting. Our services include on-site visits to the Smart Home at CERTH/ITI and the IsZEB Container in Thessaloniki, the presentation of installed smart technologies and automations, the SRI evaluation using specialized software tool developed by IsZEB and the creation of upgrade scenarios for enhancing the intelligence of the infrastructure with specific proposed interventions.
