Description
The SmartLiving EPC introduces a new rating scale that evaluates operational behavior based on a weighted approach encompassing life cycle performance aspects, smart building assessments, and insights from technical audits. The methodologies are grounded in existing European standards and pave the way for the development of new technical standards for smart energy performance certificates. Additionally, the certification scheme expands to cover critical areas such as water consumption, noise pollution, and acoustics. The SmartLiving EPC is fully compatible with digital logbooks and building renovation passports, facilitating the integration of building energy performance data into digital databases. A unique aspect of the certificate is its application at both the individual building and neighborhood levels. Two parallel certification schemes have been developed: one at the building level (Building EPC) and another at the level of building complexes (Complex EPC).
